What could be nicer than eating a turkish breakfast while overlooking the Marmara! We 've enjoyed our all too short stay in Istanbul and appreciated the Turkish warmth of all your hotel staff. We hope to return soon.

We had a wonderful honeymoon at your hotel - the roof terrace was lovely and your staff were all very helpful. The location was perfect as well, and your excellent breakfast was a great start to each day. Thanks so much!

We were stucked in Istanbul a few days more during the problems due to the volcanic cloud and I would like to thank all the staff from hotel Ararat! They were so nice with us! Trying to help us to find a solution!
If I come back in the future in Istanbul, I will surely choose hotel Ararat again for their lovely rooms, the fabulous view on the Blue Mosk when you are on the roof terrasse and most of all, the kindness of the staff!
Istanbul's Ararat Hotel is a small, intimate, artistic boutique hotel directly across the street behind Istanbul's famous Blue Mosque in Sultanahmet Square.
Each of our 12 guest rooms, has its own character, and all have been individually designed and decorated with Byzantine-inspired murals and color accents by Athenian artist Nikos Papadakis, (The painting above is an example of Mr Papadakis's Byzantine-inspired art.)
All of our guest rooms have private bathrooms, direct-dial telephones, individually-controlled air conditioning, and double-glazed windows for weather- and sound-proofing.
Four of our rooms have views of the Blue Mosque, and two have views of the Sea of Marmara.
When you're not in your room, head for the rooftop terrace, which is where you'll find breakfast every day, a wireless high-speed Internet connection, excellent views of the Blue Mosque, the Sea of Marmara, and Ayasofya (Hagia Sophia) and also, often, the hotel's congenial owner, Mr Haydar Sarigül. a three-minute walk away).
The Hotel Ararat is Istanbul's equivalent of the atmospheric little Left Bank Paris hotel you may have stayed in years ago, especially good for singles and young couples.
Note that the lobby is one flight of steps up from the street, and many guest rooms are up a second flight. (There is no elevator/lift.)
If you're looking for a small, personally-run "arty" hotel absolutely right next to Istanbul's prime attractions, the Hotel Ararat is a good place for you.
Let us know your flight arrival details, and we'll send a car and driver to Istanbul's Atatürk and Sabiha Gökcen International Airports to meet you, help you with your luggage, and drive you directly to the Ararat Hotel. (The charge for these transfer services €35 in cash from Ataturk Airport and €65 from Sabiha Gokcen more than a taxi, but it's more pleasant and secure than a taxi.)
